Farm to Cup Story
Cream City is a staple in our line at Stone Creek Coffee. This composition features two Farm to Cup coffees from Colombia and Costa Rica that were meticulously roasted to bring out the best in one another. Together, these coffees harmonize to sing the perfect tune. With notes of cocoa, cashew, cherries, and lemon, Cream City does Milwaukee justice.
The Colombian component of Cream City is brought to us from various farmers in the Tolima (toe-lee-ma) region of Colombia. This lot is composed of Colombia, Caturra, Typica, and Castillo, and was processed using a washed method. While this lot from Colombia is medium roasted to round out its acidity with some sweetness, the lot from Costa Rica is light roasted to ramp up the complexity. This coffee was brought to us from Microbeneficio Cerro Paraguas (me-kro-ben-eh-fee-see-o ser-ro pa-ra-guah-s), also known as MICEPA, which is a mill run by 7 families located in Chirripó, Costa Rica. This mixed lot of Catuai and Caturra was also washed, except with an extra rinse. It was light roasted for Cream City to add a nutty and sweet, yet bright and citrusy complexity.
Midwestern and hardworking, Cream City was created to be perfectly balanced and loved by all.
