MEET ME AT THE CAFE: SEPTEMBER IS FOR GETTING BACK TOGETHER
Aug 28, 2026
Summer has a way of scattering us. There are vacations to take, long weekends to squeeze in, backyard dinners that run late, and plenty of reasons to say, “Let’s catch up when things slow down.”
Then September arrives. School starts, work picks back up, calendars fill in. And somehow, everyone starts finding their way back to their regular routines, and to each other.
That’s where coffee comes in.
A PLACE TO MEET
There’s something about meeting at a cafe that makes catching up feel a little easier. You don’t need a big plan. You just need a time, a place, and maybe a good excuse to order another cup.
Bring a friend you haven’t seen all summer. Meet a coworker between meetings. Get together with your study group. Sit across from someone you love and find out what they’ve been up to.
Or come by yourself. There’s plenty of room for that, too.
At Stone Creek, we’ve always believed cafes are about more than coffee. They’re places to linger, work, read, people-watch, make plans, change plans, and have the kinds of conversations that are better in person.
BACK TO THE LONG TABLE
Our cafes are part of the neighborhoods they’re in, and we like being a place where those neighborhoods come together.
September is a particularly good time for it. Milwaukee is settling into a new rhythm, but summer hasn’t completely let go. You might still catch a warm afternoon on the patio, followed by a cooler morning that makes a hot cup of coffee sound pretty great.
It’s a month made for getting out of the house and reconnecting with the people around you. And maybe that’s one of the best things about a cafe: you don’t have to do much.
Pull up a chair, order something good, and stay awhile.
SO, WHEN SHOULD WE MEET?
This month, instead of saying “we should catch up sometime,” pick a day.
Meet before class, or after work. Meet for a quick coffee that turns into an hour, get to know someone new, or meet someone you’ve known forever.
Just meet.
We’ll take care of the coffee.
