When Does Pumpkin Spice Come Back? Plus Easy Fall Coffee Recipes
Aug 13, 2026
If you've been counting down to pumpkin spice season, you don't have much longer to wait.
Beginning August 27th, Pumpkin Spice Lattes return to Stone Creek cafes, bringing back one of our favorite signs that fall has officially arrived. Whether it's your first PSL of the season or a tradition you look forward to every year, we're excited to welcome it back.
But the return of pumpkin spice isn't just about one drink. It's the beginning of a whole season of warm flavors, slower mornings, and fresh coffee at home.
Meet Harvest, Our Seasonal Medium Roast
Alongside our fall cafe menu, Harvest returns for another season.
Harvest was roasted with this time of year in mind. It brings together a creamy body with comforting notes of maple sweetness, flaky pie crust, and a pop of raspberry jam. It's balanced, approachable, and the kind of coffee you'll want to keep brewing long after your first Pumpkin Spice Latte.
While pumpkin spice adds those familiar autumn flavors, Harvest lets the coffee speak for itself. Those comforting notes come naturally from the coffee's origin, processing, and roast profile.
Bring Fall Home With Every Brew
If you can't make it to the cafe, but you want to channel those PSL vibes, you can still bring those first hints of fall home.
Start with a great cup of coffee, then build on what's already in your mug instead of reaching for flavored coffee. A few warming spices are often all it takes to turn your daily brew into something that feels unmistakably like the season.
Here are a few simple ways to bring cafe-inspired fall flavors into your home brewing routine.
Add Pumpkin Pie Spice to Your Grounds
Before brewing, stir ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice into your ground coffee.
As the hot water moves through the coffee, it gently extracts the spice, adding aroma without overpowering the cup.
This works especially well with medium roasts like Harvest.
Don't have pumpkin pie spice? Make your own by combining these:
• Cinnamon (the primary flavor)
• Ginger (adds warmth and a little zing)
• Nutmeg (sweet, nutty depth)
• Allspice (clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg notes in one spice)
• Cloves (earthy, bold spice)
Make a Maple Cinnamon Coffee
Stir together:
• 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup
• A pinch of cinnamon
• Freshly brewed Harvest
Finish with steamed milk or your favorite creamer for a naturally cozy cup.
Make a Maple Harvest Chai
Harvest's maple-like sweetness makes it a natural match for chai spices.
• 8 oz freshly brewed Harvest
• 2 oz concentrated chai tea
• 1–2 tsp pure maple syrup
• Splash of steamed milk (optional)
• Pinch of cinnamon or freshly grated nutmeg
Stir everything together and enjoy while it's hot. The chai adds warming spice, the maple enhances Harvest's natural sweetness, and the coffee remains the star of the cup.
Brew With Cinnamon
Place half of a cinnamon stick directly into your French Press or drip brewer before brewing.
The result is subtle, warm, and lets the coffee remain the star.
Fall Is More Than Pumpkin Spice
Pumpkin Spice Lattes have earned their place as a seasonal favorite, and we're looking forward to serving them again starting August 27th.
But some of our favorite fall moments happen at home: a quiet morning, your favorite mug, and a freshly brewed pot of coffee filling the kitchen with familiar aromas.
Whether you're stopping into a Stone Creek cafe for a Pumpkin Spice Latte or brewing Harvest with a pinch of cinnamon at home, there's more than one way to welcome the season.
This fall, try both.
