Dinner is now officially served at 527 E Silver Spring in Whitefish Bay. Here’s how this is going to work.
Moving forward our kitchen will be serving our AM menu every day from 6am to 2pm. We will then shut the kitchen down from 2pm to 4pm to allow us to get set for dinner. The PM menu will be available from 4pm to 9pm.
The PM menu will be available ordering & consumption onsite. You can order with the barista at the counter, or your can have a seat and order through the QR code affixed to each table. This menu will also be available to order through the SCC app for takeout.
Now, what kind of food are we talking about? We call it “Bowls & Boards.” Bowls, like the Poke Bowl pictured above, or like a Veggie Yellow Curry bowl. We also have 3 Cheese Mac, Mojo Pork, and Spiced Cauliflower Shawarma that all fit in that “bowls” category.
As far as boards are concerned, these come in two sizes: Personal & Sharing. The “Sharing” size is roughly twice the size of the personal, so plan accordingly. Noms you’ll find in this category are:
– Assorted Deviled Eggs
– Meats & Cheeses (#charcoots)
– Dip & Veggies
– Sweet Treats
– The Infamous “Everything” Board.
We also offer a kids turkey sandwich board or mac & cheese bowl if you’re planning to bring the littles. Our kids also really dig the Mojo pork bowl too, which nicely feeds two of them.
As if a yummy dinner wasn’t enough, we have a tap system full of local beers and a self-service wine wall where we maintain a curated selection of 12 different natural wines.
We chose to exhibit natural wines because the philosophy behind their production and labeling matches the ethics and transparency we work to bring to our coffees.
Sure, it’s a simple ideology, but it’s hard to execute and creates a major impact on the product in the bottle.
“Natural wine” is a term used to describe wines made with minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar. While the term is not yet regulated, the wineries and enthusiasts behind the movement believe in transparency around production methods, and crafting products that do not leverage the use of coloring or sweetening agents. The label should say what’s in the bottle.
The goal is to allow the grapes and the indigenous fermentation environment to speak for themselves. These wines are crafted using organic or biodynamically grown grapes without the addition of chemicals or additives. The winemaking process often involves wild yeast fermentation, avoiding the use of commercial yeasts, and minimal to no sulfites added during production.
Come taste the difference. You can grab a glass to drink while you enjoy your dinner and buy a bottle to take home.
