Here we are. Summer is already winding down, and while 2020 is going in the books as a real trip, we’re choosing to hope for fresh beginnings. Soon (but hopefully not too soon!) the trees will begin to change to beautiful shades of yellows, oranges, and reds and it will be officially sweater weather. While this summer has been anything but typical, we’re ready to embrace another WI autumn in hopes that seasonal gathering with friends and family might not be too far off. In honor of this sentiment, we’ve brought back our seasonal favorite – Harvest!
Cynthia La Rue has had coffee farms in her family since the 1800’s. Her and her family have spent the past two decades reclaiming and revamping the farms after spending many years away due to civil unrest. It’s our fourth year working with Cynthia through Caravela Coffee, and we’re excited to bring you coffee from her once again this year. Each year, their coffee stands out as some of the most resilient, stable coffee on our year-round offering list, so we’re always eager to share it as a single-origin each fall. As Cynthia herself says, “Passion is probably the most important ingredient in growing coffee. If you’re not passionate about what you do in the land and with the people and with the environment, it would never translate into a fantastic cup of coffee.” The lot of coffee in Harvest is a blend of Caturra, Red Catuai, and Yellow Catuai that underwent a washed process. With the sweetness of cocoa, the creaminess of cashews, and an uplifting citric acidity and subtle floral aroma, you’re sure to enjoy this complex seasonal offering that we look forward to sharing with you.
So as we “fall back” and enter into a new season, let the first cool breezes smack you in the face and invigorate your mind. There isn’t much better than the Wisconsin fall and a fresh mug of Stone Creek Coffee. . Hit the button below to grab a bag and enjoy a mug of Harvest today (and maybe thank a farmer for their hard work, too).
