WHAT IS SUMMER WITHOUT BLOCK PARTY?

Block Party is a celebration of balance, uniting the classic structure of Costa Rica’s Central Valley with the lush fruit character of Colombia’s Huila. Grown at soaring altitudes up to 1,800 meters, this washed blend finds harmony between creamy milk chocolate and rich caramel, punctuated by the subtle, juicy sweetness of golden plum. It’s the flavor of the neighborhood coming together, smooth, welcoming, and effortlessly fun.

High-Altitude Harmony

This year’s Block Party offering stretches its legs across two of coffee’s most revered growing regions: the volcanic slopes of Costa Rica’s Central Valley and the rugged mountain ranges of Huila, Colombia. At staggering elevations between 1,400 and 1,800 meters, the cool nighttime temperatures slow the maturation of the Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia-variety cherries, allowing for a denser bean and deeper sweetness. After careful picking by smallholder farmers, the cherries undergo a meticulous washed process at local mills, stripping away the fruit to reveal a pristine, parchment-covered seed. This method ensures the coffee’s inherent balance is preserved, creating a clean canvas where creamy milk chocolate textures and golden fruit notes can shine without distraction.

A Caramel Finish

We designed this year's roast to be the life of the party without overwhelming the conversation. A true medium roast allows the coffee’s natural duality to emerge: the comforting warmth of melted caramel and milk chocolate from the Costa Rican component meets the vibrant, stone fruit spark of Colombia’s finest. The result is a cup that feels both familiar and delightfully new, finishing with the gentle, honeyed sweetness of a perfectly ripe golden plum. It’s the kind of coffee that smooths over a busy Tuesday or elevates a lazy Sunday afternoon. Easy-drinking and undeniably cheerful, Block Party 2026 proves that sometimes the best times are found in perfect balance.

What grind should I choose for my brewing method?
Whole Bean

Whole bean coffee is unprocessed and unground, preserving peak freshness and flavor until ground to the desired consistency for various brewing methods.

Espresso

Espresso grind is a fine, powdery grind with a texture like granulated sugar, crafted to create high-pressure extraction, resulting in a rich, concentrated shot with bold flavor and velvety crema.

Aeropress

Aeropress grind is a medium-fine to fine grind, similar to table salt or slightly finer, allowing for versatile brewing times and methods, resulting in a clean, rich, and full-flavored cup.

Cone Filter or V60

Cone filter grind is a medium-fine grind with a consistency similar to table salt, designed to optimize water flow and extraction in cone-shaped coffee makers, enhancing clarity and balanced flavor.

Flat Filter or Cold Brew

Flat filter grind is a medium grind with a consistency like sea salt, ideal for flat-bottom drip brewers, promoting even extraction and producing a balanced, smooth cup of coffee.

Chemex or Kalita

Chemex grind is a medium-coarse grind, similar to coarse sand, designed to ensure a slower extraction and clean, bright cup with pronounced clarity and delicate flavors.

French Press or Clever

French press grind is a coarse grind, with a texture like breadcrumbs or coarse sea salt, allowing for full immersion brewing and producing a rich, full-bodied cup with minimal sediment.

How fresh is your coffee?

Our coffee is roasted fresh to order and ships within 24 hours to ensure peak flavor. For optimal taste, we recommend brewing between 4 and 21 days after the roast date—this allows the coffee to degas and fully develop. After that window, it will still taste great for several weeks (or more), especially if stored in a cool, airtight container.
