MADE FOR MILWAUKEE MORNINGS

Spring in Milwaukee is a slow awakening...the ground softening, the first hints of warmth after a long season. The Good Land captures that shift in a cup. This limited blend brings together the richness of Nicaragua and the elegance of Ethiopia, milk chocolate and nougat settling deep, with a stone fruit brightness just coming into season. This medium, balanced cup is made for the moment the city wakes up.

12 oz tins are available for a limited time.

A Union of Highlands

The Good Land brings together two distinct coffee cultures in a blend greater than the sum of its parts. From the volcanic soils of Jinotega, Nicaragua, we sourced Catuai and Parainema. Grown between 1100-1350 masl, these lots provide the foundation, creamy body, milk chocolate, and nougat. To lift the profile, we turned to Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. Heirloom varieties from Girma Sentayehu, cultivated up to 1750 masl, introduce delicate stone fruit sweetness that lingers without overwhelming. The result is a seamless union of hemispheres: the richness of Central America meeting the elegance of Africa in one balanced cup.

Millioke. The Good Land. That's what the Algonquian peoples called this place long before a city grew here. The Menominee, Ho-Chunk, Potawatomi...they knew these rivers, these hills, this soil. They lived not on the land, but with it. That relationship is the foundation everything else was built on, even if it's been forgotten. We hold that history in mind when crafting this blend. The Good Land is a blend of two faraway places, Nicaragua and Ethiopia, brought together in the city that inherited its name from those who came before. The cup is soft, chocolatey, with a hint of stone fruit. A small acknowledgment of the land we're on, and the people who shaped what "good land" really means.

Tin Care & Repurposing Tips

Your collectible Good Land Tin is more than just a coffee container — it’s a little piece of Milwaukee pride that keeps on giving. When the coffee’s gone, the fun doesn’t have to be. Give your tin a second life as a planter for kitchen herbs, a cozy home for your brew tools, or a stash spot for loose tea, treats, or whatever small treasures deserve a proper place.

Feeling crafty? The Good Land Tin also makes a great desk organizer, utensil holder, or plant pot for something hardy like mint or thyme. A small Milwaukee keepsake with big reuse potential.

To keep the artwork looking sharp, hand-wash gently with mild detergent and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly. Skip harsh cleaners or abrasive scrubbers — they can dull the design. And make sure the inside is fully dry before storing anything inside.

A little care goes a long way. Just like a good daily coffee ritual.

What grind should I choose for my brewing method?
Whole Bean

Whole bean coffee is unprocessed and unground, preserving peak freshness and flavor until ground to the desired consistency for various brewing methods.

Espresso

Espresso grind is a fine, powdery grind with a texture like granulated sugar, crafted to create high-pressure extraction, resulting in a rich, concentrated shot with bold flavor and velvety crema.

Aeropress

Aeropress grind is a medium-fine to fine grind, similar to table salt or slightly finer, allowing for versatile brewing times and methods, resulting in a clean, rich, and full-flavored cup.

Cone Filter or V60

Cone filter grind is a medium-fine grind with a consistency similar to table salt, designed to optimize water flow and extraction in cone-shaped coffee makers, enhancing clarity and balanced flavor.

Flat Filter or Cold Brew

Flat filter grind is a medium grind with a consistency like sea salt, ideal for flat-bottom drip brewers, promoting even extraction and producing a balanced, smooth cup of coffee.

Chemex or Kalita

Chemex grind is a medium-coarse grind, similar to coarse sand, designed to ensure a slower extraction and clean, bright cup with pronounced clarity and delicate flavors.

French Press or Clever

French press grind is a coarse grind, with a texture like breadcrumbs or coarse sea salt, allowing for full immersion brewing and producing a rich, full-bodied cup with minimal sediment.

How fresh is your coffee?

Our coffee is roasted fresh to order and ships within 24 hours to ensure peak flavor. For optimal taste, we recommend brewing between 4 and 21 days after the roast date—this allows the coffee to degas and fully develop. After that window, it will still taste great for several weeks (or more), especially if stored in a cool, airtight container.

Do you offer subscriptions?

Our subscription products deliver freshly roasted coffee straight to your door on your schedule, with full flexibility to skip, pause, or customize anytime. Choose from curated options or build your own to match your brew style and flavor preferences. See all subscriptions.
