People matter, and so do their stories. This is a sentiment that we share with the Carlson family, whose mantra is founded on compassion. “We are ready to give to those in need,” it reads, “realizing that needs take on as many forms as people do. We believe that every person and living thing is valuable and worthy of attention, despite what its history may be.” What once was the Carlson’s dream to work with Burundian farmers has slowly but surely come to fruition, and what they have accomplished as a coffee community since journeying to Burundi has been nothing short of incredible—and you can taste it. Featuring a citric vibrancy and delicate, yet viscous body, Oasis is a mixture of two microlots, one washed (Nkonge Hill) and one natural (Mutana Hill) processed, from various farmers who work with Long Miles that celebrates our partnership with them. In a cup of Oasis, you’ll experience the floral aromatics of coffee blossom and hibiscus paired with the sweetness of bubblegum, the acidity of blueberry lemonade, and a delicate, yet viscous body reminiscent of white tea and rosé.
We are honored and lucky to share coffee from the farmers that the Carlson’s work with, and are proud to be one of the direct relationships that Long Miles Coffee has facilitated since we began working with them in 2015. The Carlson’s and the farmers that they work with have become part of our coffee family here at Stone Creek Coffee, and we’re happy to make them part of yours, too.
Enjoy a cup of this limited-time offering from the Long Miles Hills before it’s gone.
