Featuring coffee from our partnership with the Ferneldy Family at the El Paraiso Farm in Huehuetenango, Block Party showcases the brightness and warmth of summer while still managing to keep things pretty chill. With notes of watermelon, black tea, and blackberry, Block Party is a party for your taste buds.
Urizar and his family run and cultivate 16 hectares of the El Paraiso Farm. From this farm we see several varieties of coffee, including Bourbon, Caturra, and Geisha. Composting the very coffee pulp produced in the harvesting process, Urizar is able to fertilize the coffee plants that live on the El Paraiso Farm, creating a self preserving and nourishing plant ecosystem.
Founded in 2010, El Paraiso has been producing some of the region’s most unique coffee offerings, using different cultivation techniques and drying processes. Urizar has made it integral to his business to commune ethically with the environment that surrounds his farm. Utilizing the local springs, El Paraiso is able to use natural resources around it to sustain the crop within.
This composition underwent a washed process which translates to crisp, clean flavors in the final cup. It’s time for a Block Party but don’t worry, we got the coffee that will win you the “Neighbor of the Year” title you deserve. Drink up and cheers to the sunshine.
