At Stone Creek Coffee, we’ve been busy crafting a delightful collection of special coffees that pack a punch of flavor and joy for our decaf enthusiasts. Meet Frosted Cranberry Decaf Colombia, a daring blend of top-tier varieties, sourced from the lofty heights of Colombia’s North Huila region. Frosted Cranberry delivers a bold blend of red berries, mango, and panela, making it just as delicious as our caffeinated options.
Our producers have meticulously gathered a stellar cast of varietals, including Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, Caturron, Geisha, Pink Java, and Bourbon, from multiple farms in the municipalities of Algeciras, Iquira, and Palermo. These beans undergo an intriguing fermentation method known as “fermentación por cochadas.” In this process, the coffee is de-pulped and fermented for 24 hours in tanks. Then, another de-pulped batch is added, fermenting for an additional 24 hours, followed by yet another de-pulped batch. After a total of 60 hours of fermentation on the initial batch, the coffee is carefully extracted from the tanks and meticulously dried before proceeding to decaffeination. The varying fermentation times infuse the coffee with vibrant fruit notes, delivering delightful pops of peach and mango that harmonize with the cranberry, tantalizing your taste buds.
