Brewing Change is a program at Stone Creek that empowers our employees to support organizations and causes they’re passionate about. Our latest initiative, Candy Cane Lane, partners with the MACC Fund—a nonprofit founded during halftime at a Milwaukee Bucks game on December 10, 1976, as Bucks broadcaster Eddie Doucette and player Jon McGlockin sought to fund research for childhood cancer after Doucette’s son was diagnosed with leukemia. Since its inception, the MACC Fund has raised over $57 million for childhood cancer and blood disorder research.
Candy Cane Lane began in December 1985 when neighbors in West Allis, WI, decorated their homes and wrapped their trees like candy canes to honor a local child diagnosed with cancer. They invited visitors to enjoy the lights and donate to the MACC Fund, sparking a beloved Milwaukee holiday tradition.
Inspired by this incredible community, its resilience, and its joy, we’re proud to join the cause. This year, we’ll donate $2 of each Candy Cane Lane coffee sold to the MACC Fund, and we encourage you to visit the display, bask in its magical glow, and perhaps warm up with a hot cup of coffee.
Join us in celebrating the holiday season and making a difference, one cup at a time. Here’s to community, joy, togetherness, and great coffee!
