Summertime in Wisconsin is an oasis of fun. From swimming in one of our thousands of lakes to camping at one of our numerous beautiful parks, there is no shortage of outdoor adventure in the very special state we call home. But what pairs better with adventure than your favorite beverage? Not much. That’s why we’ve crafted Campfire, the perfect pairing for your next campfire or even your next trip into the office (we can daydream of camping while we’re not camping, at least, right?). In a mug of Campfire, you’ll experience the sweetness of marshmallows and chocolate with a cashew-like nuttiness.
Campfire is 100% Bolivian coffee that we roasted to a medium, which is the perfect pairing of sweetness and richness. This roast allows us to bring out a chocolate-like sweetness while highlighting the rich notes of cashew and toasted marshmallow.
This lot comes from Pedro Flores’ farm, Finca El Mirador. This lot was hand-picked and processed on the same day at the Buena Vista washing station. After being inspected and weighed, the coffee is carefully sorted by weight using water, and floaters are removed. It’s then depulped and placed in PVC tanks without water to ferment. After 48 hours, the coffee is washed with fresh, clean water and placed inside one of Buena Vista’s ‘stationary box’ dryers for 3 days. Once the coffee is dry, it’s transported to La Paz, where it rests before being milled at Agricafe’s dry mill, La Luna. The coffee is hulled and sorted at this mill using machinery and then by a team of workers who sort the coffee by hand under UV and natural light.
