Thanks

It’s important to show thanks for the good in our lives. Whether it’s to the farmers who grow the coffee we drink, our family and friends, emergency service workers, teachers, or the countless others who touch our lives day in and day out, we are called to be grateful to those who do good. Thanks is here to celebrate the spirit of being Thankful. Featuring a delicious light-roasted Ethiopian coffee from various small farmers of the Sidamo region, Thanks highlights the delicate, flavorful characteristics of its growing region, including a vibrant acidity and floral aromatics. In a cup of Thanks, you’ll experience a white tea-like body complimented by notes of white currant and peach, all while enjoying a delicate floral aromatic reminiscent of hibiscus.

Farm to Cup Story

The story of specialty coffee ultimately begins in Ethiopia over ten centuries ago with the discovery of the Arabica plant. For this discovery, we are ever thankful. Since then, the seeds of the Arabica plant have been spread throughout the tropics. However, the cultivation of the Arabica plant has persisted within Ethiopia as it has spread beyond it, and coffees of heirloom varietals which grew centuries ago still grow in Ethiopia today—presenting us with an incredibly rich and deep connection to the past through coffee. With notes of white currant, peach, hibiscus, and a tea-like body, Thanks is a welcomed reminder that although we may wander, and although some days are trying, we have very much to be thankful for, and that place of gratitude and humility is somewhere that we can keep coming back to.

The coffee in Thanks is brought to you from Sidamo, which is located in the Guji zone of the greater Oromia region, an area of Ethiopia that is renowned for its delicious heirloom varietals of coffee. Various small land holders came together to produce this mixed variety lot which was grown at a range of 1800-2000 masl—one of the contributing factors in the complexity of this coffee. After harvest, the lot in Thanks was processed using a washed method.

Raise a mug of Thanks to those you are thankful for.
