Farm to Cup Story
Each autumn, we celebrate summer’s bounty by harvesting the fruits of our labor. At this time, we are able to sit back and appreciate all that has been accomplished while enjoying what our hard work has produced.
Originally owned by their father Jerry LaRue, Cynthia, John Mark, and Sheldon LaRue have spent the past decade reclaiming and revamping the farms that their family has run for over five generations in Nicaragua. The lot in Harvest this year is a mixed lot from three of their farms, La Plata, Apolo 11, and Los Mesones, called “La Trampa”, after their father’s farm, when combined. It is a mix of Caturra and Catuai that underwent a washed process. With the sweetness of cocoa, the creaminess of cashews, and an uplifting citric acidity and subtle floral aroma, you’re sure to enjoy this complex seasonal offering that we look forward to sharing each year.
So as we “fall back” and enter into a new season, take a moment to sit back and enjoy the fruit of summer’s labor. Grab a bag and enjoy a mug of Harvest today (and maybe thank a farmer for their hard work, too).
