While some coffees sparkle, others shine. In fact, Cosmos Ethiopia shines so brightly that it’s one of our favorite offerings of 2018. And with beautiful floral aromatics, a tea-like body, the sweetness of stone fruit, and a citric acidity, we’re sure that it will be one of yours, too.
Cosmos is a washed-process offering that is sourced from various family-owned farms in the Kochere district of the Gedeo region of Ethiopia. The Gedeo region is named after the Gedeo people who are indigenous to this area. For many years, the Kochere micro-region has been known as one of the best origins for southern Ethiopian coffee. The combination of very high altitude and iron-rich, acidic soil creates the ideal growing situation to produce the bright, floral Yirgacheffe profile that is clearly present in a mug of Cosmos.
