Farm to Cup Story
The weather outside is frightful, but fear not, Bumble is here! Composed of a dark-roasted Guatemalan coffee and a medium-roasted Brazilian coffee, Bumble is here to keep you warm and toasty. And with notes of sweet cocoa and a big, creamy body, you won’t want to miss out on this winter treat.
The Guatemalan coffee in Bumble comes from the gorgeous 3 Volcanoes of Antigua, Guatemala. Here, various local farmers meticulously grow their coffee until it is ripe, and then harvest and sort it. Once it’s ready, the farmers head to the San Miguel mill, where the coffee is processed using a washed process. This processing method ensures clean, crisp flavors without running too high of a risk of acquiring too much flavor from fermentation.
The Brazilian lot in Bumble is brought to us from Robson Vilela’s Alta Vista farm, and is a 100% Yellow Bourbon lot which has undergone the pulped natural process. Pulped natural processing removes the skin but leaves part of the mucilage, or pulp, on the beans during the drying process. Careful pulped natural processing imparts sweet and citric undertones onto the beans, which translates to complexity of flavor and a full, round body.
