SNOWMAGEDDON – If you love the classic profile of Brazilian coffee, then Snowmageddon is going to be your vibe. This year’s offering comes from Fazenda Alta Vista, in the southeast region of Brazil, in the small municipality of Cristina in the state of Minas Gerais.
Careful natural processing imparts sweet and citric undertones onto the beans, which translates to the complexity of flavor and a full, round body. Pairs perfectly with those cozy winter mornings.
LAKE EFFECT DARK COLOMBIA– Lake Effect Dark Colombia was born in the mountains of the Huila Department. This coffee is for when you leave your house in shorts and head toward the lake for a waterfront stroll. But then you arrive lakeside, step out of your car and immediately realize that your outfit is not remotely appropriate. For the days where somewhere between home and the lake, spring was left behind.
This particular coffee was grown by a group of farmers who mill their coffee together after harvest. Once the coffee arrived at the mill, it was processed using a fully washed process. It was then prepared for shipment after being dried on patios. This processing method translates to crisp, clean flavors in the final cup.
AMY’S MY BREW: THROUGH THE GREAT DIVIDE – Our “My Brew” short run series was created to give our employees an opportunity to craft their ideal coffee, with the help of our Director of Coffee and Design team. Amy Balestrieri, our Director of Customer Care, is the inspiration behind this edition of the series and she’s excited to share her brew with you.
Amy’s “My Brew” is composed of two Guatemalan coffees, roasted in two different ways. The medium-roasted component comes from our partnership between Prisma Coffee and Finca La Merced and was grown in the Chimaltenango region. The dark roasted component comes from our partnership with San Miguel in the Antigua region. Each lot was roasted intentionally to highlight the remarkable attributes of both coffees. Pick some up in your favorite SCC cafe to try out the experience that Amy has crafted for you.
