Hey Coffee Geeks,
During the November workshops, Drew P alluded to a potential cafe project in 2023. We’re excited to announce that we’ve finalized plans to take over (and massively remodel) the City Market location on Silver Spring, just across the road from the small location we closed in 2021. We will be announcing this publicly at 11am tomorrow, but we wanted to make sure you all heard first. We’ve included the public statement we will issue below. Please don’t share this information or post about this publicly until after the official announcement tomorrow morning!
This project will be a large undertaking for our company, and we’re excited to take on the challenge. We expect the end result of our work together to be comparable to the Downer Cafe & Kitchen in terms of “remarkability” and customer traffic. If you’re interested in being part of this project either in a temporary or permanent capacity, please reach out to the Teams & People team (teams@stonecreekcoffee.com) as soon as possible!

PUBLIC STATEMENT:
Nearly two years ago, on March 20th, 2021, we announced the closure of the first cafe we opened in 1993 in Whitefish Bay. It was a very big decision that was not taken lightly, and it was a milestone for the company. It was, for us, the end of a very long chapter and the start of a new one. As we shared with co-workers and customers, we intended to reset, learn, and be better prepared for change.
It is with great enthusiasm we share that we are returning to Whitefish Bay in 2023. We have been working with City Market leadership as they transition out of this cafe location. We will remodel their space on the corner of E. Silver Spring Drive and N. Hollywood Ave. We are excited about our plans, including space adjustments and developing our barista and kitchen teams through the winter and spring. We won’t officially announce our opening date at this time, but we’re targeting this summer.
We plan to open a “Stone Creek Coffee + Kitchen” similar to our Downer Avenue location on the East Side of Milwaukee. The menu for Stone Creek Kitchen is guided by our simple mantra of “E.A.T.” as we seek to serve our community dishes that are equal parts “Elegant, Accessible and Transparent.” In addition to our Kitchen menu, we will have an updated line of local merchandise, our full coffee line, and our scratch-made pastry program. We are hopeful that this new cafe will become a meeting spot and a retail anchor in a community that is personally important to our family and friends. It is also relevant to our journey at Stone Creek Coffee as we return, once again, to our roots. Thank you, Whitefish Bay, for welcoming us back!
Onward,
Eric Resch & Melissa Perez (Co-Owners)
