The official Oktoberfest is back on! After being canceled for 2 years, the 187th Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany will take place from September 17th until October 3th. And in preparation of this annual event, our fan-fave short run coffee is making its return as well. Oktoberfest has landed! Grab a bag in our cafes or two bags at stonecreekcoffee.com. Each half-pound bag costs $9.00.
O’zapft is! (It’s tapped!) Ever since the 17th century, these are the words that kick off Oktoberfest. Each year, we bring back this short run to pay homage to our German roots. Milwaukee, just like the state of Wisconsin itself, has one of the largest German-American populations in the United States. As many German immigrants found their way to Milwaukee in the mid-19th century, many of them who missed German beer founded their own breweries here.
As a nod to our very own Brew City, we are serving up a different kind of “brew” to celebrate the occasion with.
Oktoberfest is composed of two Farm to Cup coffees, with a primary component brought to us from various farmers in Nicaragua. Since this washed process coffee is so smooth and sweet, we medium-dark roasted it to amp up the sweetness in the cup. The other component is a natural processed coffee brought to us from Minas Gerais, Brazil, and was medium roasted to provide the composition with a creamy nuttiness, the sweetness of berries, and mellow notes of citrus.
With fruity notes of berries and mellow citrus paired with a rich milk chocolate sweetness and body, you’ll be glad you drank this one–whether you enjoy it as cold brew or hot! So grab your mug or stein and brew up a batch of this tasty short run, however you prefer to drink your coffee.
