Stone Creek Bakery’s Lavender Syrup

Ever walk past a bush of lavender or put a few drops of essential oil in your diffuser and just instantly feel relaxed? Us too. And that’s why our Lavender Latte is just about as comforting as it gets. Aromatherapy + coffee = sounds like heaven on earth to us. But since you can’t always make it into one of our cafes, or you just want to make something yourself at home, we’ve decided to share the recipe for our Stone Creek Bakery’s Lavender Syrup with you. Bring a taste of the cafe and a little aromatherapy to your coffee cup at home with this simple recipe.

SHOP COLD BREW FILTER PACKS
Stone Creek Bakery Lavender Syrup (makes ~1qt)
What You’ll Need:
- 450 g sugar
- 450 g water
- 5g food grade dried lavender buds (available locally through Penzey’s and The Spice House).
How To Make It:
- Combine syrup base ingredients (sugar and water) in pot.
- Bring syrup to boil over high heat, ensuring sugar is dissolved.
- Add lavender buds.
- Turn heat down to medium-low (gentle simmer).
- Simmer for 12 minutes.
- Strain syrup (to remove lavender buds) into container of your choice and let cool.
- Pro tip: Label by “use by” date, which is 4 weeks from the day you make it. Don’t seal the container with a lid until the syrup is cooled.
- Once the syrup is cooled, store it in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
- Enjoy however you choose — the best part of being able to make it at home!
Lavender Cold Brew (makes one 16oz beverage)
What You’ll Need
- 12oz cold brew (use our Cold Brew Filter Packs for an easy way to brew this up!)
- 1oz lavender syrup
- Ice to fill cup
How To Make It
- Add syrup to cup.
- Stir in cold brew, ensuring that it is mixed with the syrup.
- Top with ice.
- Enjoy!
- Ahhhhh, do you feel that? Pure relaxation and bliss in a cup.
