The advent of COVID-19 brought a whole new reality into view for so many businesses around the world. After our initial 8-week shutdown of all retail operations, we knew we would have to find a way to brew again in order to sustain the company. And frankly, we missed our customers. As we sought a path forward to resume operations, we endeavored to proceed with immense care. So that’s what we did. Very carefully we opened up, cafe by cafe, first only taking mobile orders until eventually we opened up for in-cafe orders. In the midst of this process, we’ve continually developed and updated operations and cleaning policies to maintain as safe a work environment as possible.
We’ve also taken steps to ensure our attendance and sick-time policy would allow each of our employees to take great care not to spread any illness to which they may have been exposed. Prior to opening, every retail team member attended virtual learning and in person training to practice working in our new normal.
We do all this work to make sure that anyone who comes into our spaces will be cared for remarkably…(We do more too, but the 80 point COVID-19 Safety Plan that we have built is about twenty-some pages long, and frankly, it’s just not gonna fit in this blog).
