On a uneventful morning in Bay View, a man named Blaine came up the counter and told us that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend Kate the next day using our small chalkboard. The next morning I wrote what he asked. Erica and I then patiently waited until Blaine's return. Well, he got to the store before Kate did. When she arrived they came to the counter together to place their order. She got a mocha and a pastry, and Erica and I tried our hardest not to give any clues away. We couldn't take our eyes off of them. I almost dropped her pastry, and Erica squirted mocha all over her hand, completely missing Kate's cup!
Kate's eyes wandered, and it wasn't long before she saw the chalkboard. She was intially in disbelief, but Blaine reassured her that the sign was indeed refering to her. Without hesitation, she said yes, and they kissed. Another successful Stone Creek proposal.
Congratulations Blaine and Kate...may you enjoy many mochas together!
