I recently purchased a new home (my first home) and have spent that last
several weeks preparing to move in. Last weekend, I finally made the big
move and spent my first full week in my new house.
This past Friday, I was excited for the coming weekend...in particular my
first chance to wake up Saturday morning and have a cup of coffee at my
kitchen table. Well, my Friday excitement quickly faded when I left the
office to discover my car would not start. After a long series of events,
I found myself on a city bus making my way home at about 10PM on Friday
evening. I awoke Saturday, determined to walk to the nearest car rental
store so that I could have transportation for the weekend. Again, my plans
were foiled when I arrived to find the car rental place closed for the
weekend. Needless to say, I was not having the greatest weekend&this
problem only worsened when I decided to buy a cup of gas station coffee for my
dreary walk home.
I wont bore you with the rest of the details of my weekend, rather I will
fast forward to the happy ending&I began Sunday morning, finally, with a cup of
Market Day Blend at my kitchen table.
I was joined by my girlfriend and another friend, and Coffee Tech
Extraordinaire Jason Dama. We
enjoyed a sunny Sunday morning having a nice conversation and an excellent cup
of coffee. Shortly afterwards, Jason and I were able
to fix my car&instantly erasing the memory of my troublesome weekend. So, my lesson learned&dont try to solve
anything without first having coffee&have a great week, everyone (and dont
forget to sip slowly)!
