If one looks up the word 'fair' in the dictionary, one becomes quickly overwhelmed with the number of distinct meanings it has been granted. As it is an adjective, noun, adverb and verb, this unassuming, quite harmless four-letter word carries the weight of no less than twenty definitions, at least according to Merriam-Webster. Astonishing, no?

What is even more incredible is that this Friday, November 30, two variant meanings of the word will be coming together to serve one exceptionally fine purpose: The Fair Trade Holiday Fair!

Hosted byMarquette University, the Fair Trade Holiday Fair is free and open to all who would like to shop for fairly traded holiday gifts. Stone Creek Coffee as well as several other local businesses will be offering goods for sale from 12:00 to 4:00PM in Marquette's Alumni Memorial Union Ballrooms, 1442 West Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee.

Come on down to the Fair Trade Holiday Fair this Friday. There'll be more than a fair number of fair trade businesses offering fairly traded products at a fair price for your fair eyes to fairly peruse for possible fair purchase for... Oh jeez, oh man--yup, we definitely sprained something on that last one. Better go put some ice on that. We'll see you on Friday.
