As all loyal readers of the Buzz Blog know, Stone Creek teamed up with 91.7 WMSE to create the Community + Music Project back in June. The main goal of this pilot project was to support Milwaukee's diverse music scene by bringing the work of local performers to the attention of our customers and our community. One way we did this was to develop and produce a compilation CD featuring thirteen local artists--a CD which will continue to be in play rotation at all eight Stone Creek Coffee retail stores through the end of this week.

The pilot Community + Music Project has been going strong for nearly 14 weeks and it was always our intention to evaluate the success of the project in order to decide if it would go forward. Now is the time, dear friends, when we will reveal the result of our experiment and divulge the fate of the Community + Music Project (drum roll, please):

You read that right, folks. The fact is that we've gotten such great feedback from Stone Creek customers, musicians and WMSE listeners since starting the project that we've decided that it is our responsibility, nay our duty to continue on with this project.

As we speak, Stone Creek and WMSE are working closely to work out the various logistics involved in bringing a brand new CD to all you music hungry--and coffee thirsty--Stone Creek loyalists. Rumor has it that this CD may be for sale, so keep your eyes peeled for updates here at Stone Creek Coffee's Buzz Blog. Play On, Milwaukee!
