The other day as the we sat gazing out our office window, busily and successfully avoiding all work that needed to be done, we came up with an idea purely by accident: Maybe we should start a new Stone Creek Coffee blog. This idea was so crazy, so illogical that our left brain hemisphere objected rather strenuously. "Why, oh why, would Stone Creek need a new blog? What could we possibly say beyond that which we impart in our famous Buzz Blog? It covers it all--retail news, wholesale news, events, parties, everything."

While these were all sound arguments, our right brain was not convinced of the ludicrous nature of the idea, and postulated, "We could do it just for fun. Ya know, just for the heck of it--or, as the old fish monger joke goes, just for the halibut."

This discussion went back and forth for quite awhile, in fact we almost missed lunch, until finally the left hemisphere just gave up. "Fine, fine. Have it your way. I don't know why I bother really. But you'll need me to write it and organize it and generally make it not insane."

"Deal," said the right hemisphere. "But what should it be about?"

The left hemisphere thought about this for a long time. What would make sense? Well, it's fall right now and winter is right around the corner. "Perhaps we could make it about the holidays. Christmas and Thanksgiving and all the other celebrations that are coming up. We could offer trivia and fun facts and history tidbits and the like."

"Yes," replied right brain enthusiastically. "You're a genius, Lefty!"

And so it was settled, and today we hereby proudly introduce the Stone Creek Christmas Card Blog! Anything and everything you'd ever want to know about Christmas, and other fall and winter holidays, but were way too afraid people would think you're a total wacko to ask.
