One Saturday last month, Stone Creek had a few happenings at our Bay View
retail store--a fabulous rummage sale, an amazing party with live music, a
magnificent circus (not really--although that is a tantalizing possibility for
next year, is it not? We could have cotton candy to go with our yummy Cream City
Ice, and balloons, and clowns, and we've got a friend with a hamster that can
juggle, well sort of... But we digress.) Anywho, the point here is that while we
had a superbly wonderful time, we'd very much like know your thoughts on the
events of that day.
For the benefit of all, let's just briefly recap what occurred on that beautiful Saturday, July 21, 2007 (cue flashback music). As the glorious morning sun rose to meet the day, regular customers of Stone Creek in Bay View were greeted by a uniquely pleasant sight in the outdoor garden: the smiling face of Kendra Barron, our gregarious and dedicated wholesale account manager, as she manned the rummage sale. Stone Creek artifacts and items were sold at a brisk pace, adding up to an impressive two full truck loads of stuff cleared away. You people really know a great deal when you see one, don't ya?
The fun continued later that evening when the Stone Creek Coffee Community + Music Party kicked into gear. The party, which featured special musical guest Heidi Spencer, was held in celebration of theCommunity + Music Projectsponsored by Stone Creek and 91.7 FM WMSE. The Project continues through September 30 as the CD, a compilation of thirteen songs from thirteen local bands, is in regular play rotation at all eight Stone Creek Coffee retail stores as well as on ourMySpace page.
Okay, so that was the day that was, and, if you were there, we'd like to request that you click on over to theSuggestion Boxand give us your feedback, your comments, your opinion, your two cents, and so on, etc. While you're there, maybe you could just mention that you'd like to see Stone Creek put on a circus next year, or a carnival, or maybe just those loud, baggy pants. Friends, if we speak with one voice, we cannot be denied the joy of seeing the juggling hamster. Wahoo!
