Harvested on small farms and using only organic farming methods, organic Timor coffee has provided the recently liberated country of Timor with a foundation upon which to rebuild its economy.  Subtle hints of maple syrup and hickory smoke form the aroma of this dark, velvety-smooth coffee. 

A fully certified Fair Trade Organic Coffee from the Coffee Cooperative of Timor, Dark Roasted Organic Timor will please your taste buds while it satisfies your conscience.  The coffee cooperative was formed in 2000 by a group of Timorese farmers in response to the destructive civil war that ravaged their island only a year before. 

As a result of the efforts of the cooperative, the sale of Timorese coffee on the world market has helped to stabilize Timor's economy while providing its inhabitants with public healthcare facilities, access to reasonably priced consumer goods, and educational programs in business development skills. 

This coffee will only be available for a limited time, and each pound purchased will help to revitalize the economy and social infrastructure of the newly independent nation of Timor.
