When Stone Creek Coffee in Bay View opened in 2003, owner and CSSO (Chief Sip Slowly Officer), Eric Resch had this to say in and OnMilwuakee interview:

"The neighborhood is great and we have been looking for a location that would accommodate a vibrant outdoor cafe area next to our store. By partnering with the city we are able to create not only a great new coffee store but also an outdoor patio area that will create a gathering area for the neighborhood. We believe our presence in the neighborhood will attract other business to the neighborhood."

And attract more businesses, it did! In the past eight years the Bay View business district on the northern end of KK have celebrated the opening of specialty boutiques, taverns, bars and restaurants. Not to mention that eight years ago, Bay View was the only local coffee shop in Bay View. We hope that our long time, and brand new customers will join us in humble celebration by a simple "cheers" to the baristas and fellow SCC lovers in the shop in the coming weeks.
