BREW Expertly - You Don't Have to Be a Barista - 12/6/2010

I first started working for Stone Creek in 1999 – I was a barista in our Oconomowoc location while in high school. To this day, I still hear the same question…”why can’t I make coffee at home that taste like it does here?” The answer is quite simple…”You can.”

There is an argument to be made that it’s in our best interest not to tell you how so that you keep coming into the stores and buying your morning cup. That’s not how we roll. The third step in our process to creating a cup of Stone Creek Coffee is, BREW Expertly. This is something we do for you, but we also want to teach you how to do it yourself.

Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be putting together a series of blog posts on brewing at home. The truth of the matter is this: there are only four factors that influence the taste of your coffee: the coffee product, grind, brewing equipment and water. When used appropriately in conjunction with each other, these four elements will combine to treat you to the perfect cup, no matter where you are.
