Have you stopped into one of our stores for an iced coffee yet? If not, I'd highly recommend it. Our staff of BREW Experts take 15 hours to create this smooth and delicious drink - you've got to try it!
For those of you who enjoy a nice cold, iced coffee - there are a few ways you can going about doing it. First, you can order an Iced Americano - shots of espresso poured over ice and mixed with cold water. Iced Americanos are perfect for people who enjoy a a nice strong, bright drink with a bit of a bite to it.
There are other people who will take a freshly brewed cup of hot coffee and pour it over ice. This is not the recommended approach, as the hot coffee tends to melt the ice, thereby watering down your coffee.
What we would like to suggest, is that you stop in and try our Cold Brewed Iced Coffee. We take our dark roasted Brazilian coffee and grind it just before we begin the cold brew process. We just a course grind, similar to the grind used for a French Press. We place this in a filter and soak the coffee in cold water for 15 hours - just enough time to extract the apporpriate amount of flavor to create a smooth, balanced, crisp cup of coffee...perfect for sitting in the sun on a warm Summer day.
If you can't make it to one our stores, you can check out this recipe for making your own cold brew:
