Not many people agree with me, but the early morning is the best time of day to sip slowly. Just as the sun is rising I like to take my first sip of coffee. Then, with a gluten-free piece of peanut buttered toast in hand, I’ll trade off bites and sips. Usually I stare out the window and listen to soft music, or maybe I’ll try reading a book. But If I’m lucky I get to spend this time with someone I care about. It’s the perfect way to start any day.
This is why I am in the coffee industry: coffee has been in my blood from birth...I’ll explain. During a hot eighth grade field trip to Six Flags, my father carried his coffee thermos with him from ride to ride and sipped hot coffee all day long. When my friend asked me why he had it I just thought, “Why not? My dad does this every day.” My parent’s coffee philosophy stuck with me as I got older. Once I gained a deeper desire to learn more about coffee I was drawn to Stone Creek Coffee and all they said they would teach me. It is amazing what I’ve learned. This place is more than coffee; it is freakin’ good coffee, and that’s why I’ve stayed.
