Single Origins


On the small, family-owned farms of northern Sumatra's Aceh province, coffee is still grown without the aid of chemicals or machinery. Organically grown and certified, this coffee crop forms a significant portion of each family's income and creates a stabilizing influence in the local community. Our Organic Sumatra is processed at the Permata Gayo Cooperative in Aceh.  Permata Gayo has been a Fair Trade Certified Cooperative since 2008.

Much like the purity of its origin, our Organic Sumatra exhibits a clean, colorful array of flavors without a trace of taint or bitterness. The subtle aroma of vanilla and caramel leads to a refreshing cascade of fruit flavors underscored by a hint of dark cherry. Our Organic Sumatra is an extremely flavorful, smooth-bodied coffee with a pleasant, satisfying finish.
