Tanzania - Peaberry

Noted for its mellow, nutty flavor and unique bean shape, Tanzanian Peaberry is a distinctive coffee with a very loyal following. Every sip of this coffee will reward your palate with a smooth, inviting flavor and a friendly warmth. Tanzanian Peaberry is highly recommended for those who prefer a mild coffee with the body and flavor of a stronger coffee.

Our Tanzanian Peaberry coffee was sourced through the HOPE Project in Tanzania. HOPE (Highland Organic Products Export) was started in 2002 to help small producers in Tanzania process and export their coffee. Through this project, Central Processing Units were setup close to areas where a large number of farms are concentrated. This helps the farmers have easier access to coffee mills where their coffee can be prepared for export. These plants also help to provide additional jobs by employing more than 400 workers in the areas where the coffee is grown. Through the HOPE Project, coffee quality and overall production have increased significantly, helping to provide more income for the coffee farmers of Tanzania.
